Spacetrips.com Announces Full-scale Development

Pittsfield, MA (June 1, 2009) - SpaceTrips.com has announced today that full scale development on its Space Travel & Tourism Portal has officially begun.

"The age of Space Travel and Tourism is upon us", says Bob Deemer, President of SpaceTrips.com.  "To our parents, Space Travel was something that was only seen in the movies.  Within the next two years, there will be weekly space flights available for any citizen."

Beginning in 2001, private citizens have been striking deals with a Space Tourism company names Space Adventures to book a flight aboard the International Space Station.  At about $20 million, this trip was out of reach for most people.  Barring any disasters, Virgin Galactic is planning to commence regular suborbital spaceflight operations in early 2010 for about $200,000 per seat.

Flying in space is has most people at least curious, if not downright interested.  There are very few websites dedicated Space Travel and Tourism, and this is where SpaceTrips.com hopes to fill the void.  "Even in the initial stages, the prices will be too expensive for the average person, but that will not stop them from being curious.  Expect the price to drop to about $20,000 within ten years.  This is within reach of any person who would like to fulfill that dream of floating weightless in space."
